New York City Gathering - June 12, 2007

On June 12, a small get-together of Class of '59ers met at the Yale Club in NYC for lunch and to start discussion of possible goals and purposes for our 50th Reunion Gift. Hosted by Art Rogers, the gathering included:

Mike Bassett, Peter Foote, Beck Gilbert, Hank Higdon, Sven Hsia, Garrett Kirk, Jay Nelson, Paul Neshamkin, David Othmer, Giles Payne, Peter Pochna, and Art Rogers. Ann Harris, Director of Reunion Giving, Grabo Keator, PA '57, Principal Gifts Officer, and John Rogers, Dean of Studies attended representing Phillips Academy.

The discussion reviewed the results of the recent 50th Reunion Classes, the status of the endowment, fund raising in general at Andover, and the identification of some possible purposes for our Class Gift. You will all hear more over the next two years as we get ready for the 50th.

The event was also a chance to renew old friendships among classmates --many hadn't seen each other in 48 years. Here are some bad pictures (everyone had to rush off to other meetings before we could pose the professional, official portrait).
